Urgent Appeal!

Posted: March 17, 2010 by defendhuntingtonlane in Uncategorized

We’ve just received word in the last few minutes that representatives of UK Coal have visited the camp this afternoon, enquiring after our ‘list of demands’. They didn’t seem pleased with the response, that we wanted them to call a halt to all plans for open cast coal mining on this site!

What is really desperately needed right now is visitors to the site, whether that be for an hour or two, overnight or longer. Any support of this kind would be incredibly valuable at the moment so please pay a visit if you can – more is certainly merrier! The longer people can stay the better, but just paying a visit for an hour or two would be appreciated.

Various maps of the site and how to get to camp have now been uploaded and can be found HERE. CLICK HERE FOR MAPS.

Details on how to reach the camp and transport links can now be found at https://defendhuntingtonlane.wordpress.com/public-transport-links/

Please email defendhuntingtonlane(at)hushmail.com for assistance or call the site phone on 07989 243057

Thanks all, see you there!

Great that a camp has been started! Thanks for the maps – can’t see any info about nearest strain tations, buses? Looks like there may be a little station at Horsehay, is that the nearest that you know? And is there any security, road blocks or anything to watch out for? Thanks for any further info.

Brilliant – thanks for that. Hope to come along soon x
