Good Morning, Campers

Posted: March 17, 2010 by defendhuntingtonlane in Uncategorized

Many thanks to you all for your emails and offers of support 🙂 Please scroll down for the current wish list.

We’ve been on site for a week now and camp is shaping up very nicely indeed; In the last few days a cosy communal sleeping space, fire pit and wood store have been developed and plans are also afoot for a sweat lodge! It’s really a quite beautiful place to be, if it weren’t for the distant rumbling of the M54 you could be forgiven for thinking you were several miles away from civilisation – such is the tranquillity of the space.

To quote one of today’s visitors;

“This is fantastic! I spent an hour there today, and I wish I could spend several months or even years, out in these woods. Buzzards over head, green woodpeckers laughing, wonderful wood smoke and fresh, fresh air. And no TV! “

If that doesn’t encourage you to pay a visit to the site, then we don’t know what will!

Please do stop by the site if you get a chance, everyone is welcome 🙂 Whether you can spare an hour, a day or more – it all helps! There’s plenty of space to pitch your tent and sleeping space is available for a few people if you are tent-less.

Donations of all kinds are most welcome, whether it be time, money, materials or kind thoughts 🙂 Please see the wish list below for the ‘most wanted’ items on site and perhaps pop along and see us if you can.

Anything else you may think of!

Thanks again for your continued support, maybe we’ll see you out in the woods?

    is there a way to get donations to you from across the country?

    Please could we add to the wish list a simple item?
    Charcoal – any that anyone has spare – or from last season?
    This can help to keep the teepee fires going during cold nights, as though we have plenty of wood that UK COAL brought down, its wet, and smokes like mad .
    Anything that can be spared would be well appreciated – many thanks,
    SB.
